#25 Assembly Hall

The Assembly Hall in Salt Lake City was built by the LDS Church beginning in 1877.  The building was originally called "the New Tabernacle", but was given its current name by John Taylor to avoid any confusion with the actual Salt Lake Tabernacle.

The total cost of the Victorian Gothic building was $90,000.  It was designed by Obed Taylor and completed in 1882.
